Handmade Chenille Blanket for Baby

Wow.. I feel so out of touch - it's been forever since I've blogged anything. Still waiting on baby here at my house but I've managed to get a few projects in. Have you guys seen Aesthetic Nest's Heirloom Cut Chenille Blanket? It's beyond gorgeous - see..

Well lucky for me (and for you!) she gives the full how-to on her blog. Being a chenille lover and quilt enthusiast :) I had to give it a go - and did - see the top pic? That's mine. I love Anneliese's color and fabric choices don't you? I did pink cause that's just where my mind has been - and also I had to shop my local Wal-Mart for fabric - so not a ton of selection.

Here's another (somewhat shoddy) shot.. I'm struggling with photo taking lately as I'm big as a house and TIRED. Lol. Come on baby, make your grand entrance already!

Just look at those wavy rows of fluffy goodness! This blanket is soooo soft. And tons of cutting work. I mean seriously, expect blisters. But Annelise used a chenille cutting tool that she talks a little about in her post - maybe check into that! Long story short, it's a lot of work, this blanket, but SO worth it in the end. I hope you try it.
