What I've Been Up To: Winsome & Green

Hello friends, I've been on a bit of a long hiatus from the blog because I've been working on my my new shop. Introducing, Winsome & Green. (Picture me BEAMING with pride!)

Winsome & Green ingredients are of the best available eco-friendly and organic (Certified in most cases by Oregon Tilthe), or ethically wild-harvested where applicable and many are certified Kosher, food grade and non-GMO. I never use synthetic color or fragrance, thus balms may be colored with alkanet root, matcha tea, or clays, and scented only with pure and clean, plant essential oils - some of which are very precious.

DIY Fix - Yarn Wreath With Interchangable Embelishments

I just love yarn wreaths don't you? Lucky me, I found this wintery-peacock one over at Joys of Life with Lucy and it's just perfect. Besides being my favorite color pallet - blue, gray and white - it's made with felt - an oh-so-frugal and versatile material in any crafty girl's bag of tricks. Best part? The felt embellishment is interchangeable. Yup, that's right, Haley did it up with little snaps so that she can change up the look of her wreath whenever the mood hits her!

Here's her version for fall:

And one for spring:

There are a bunch of great projects at Joys of Life with Lucy. Go see for yourself. :)

DIY Fix - Upcycled Sweater Into Bow Pillow

I just love sweater repurposing - especially pillows and use in home decor (remember this post?). Victoria, over at vixenMade, did this fab bow sweater pillow and honestly, she does an amazing job at the tutorial. I've often wished these sweater pillow tutes went into more detail - Victoria has you covered! Go see her at vixenMade!

DIY Fix - Fabric Covered Jar Votives

How cute are these! At first glance I thought these were covered in decorative paper but they're done up with a little glue and some extra cute fabric! Love this little project from Fellow Fellow. The tutorial is great - good details and lots of pics so you can make your own fabric covered jar votives. Have fun! ;)

DIY Fix: Birch Bark Candles

I just love that little mantle vignette. Sweet and simple with a bit of natural charm. You can't go wrong with birch bark. Sarah at Life on Walnut Street shares her inspiration and some tips for pulling off this fugal DIY on her blog. Go say hi. :)
